North Yorkshire Council is developing a Skipton Town Investment Plan to guide regeneration and investment in the town.
The village of Embsay and the neighbouring hamlet of Eastby are situated on the southern border of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The parish is a popular destination for visitors with a station for the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway, and the nearby reservoir, Embsay Crag and Barden Moor providing outdoor activities for sailing, angling and walking.
