Locations for North Yorkshire Council and Parish Council Grit Bins and Salt Heaps.
There are 26 locations for Grit Bins and Salt Heaps within Embsay with Eastby Parish.
24 are owned and maintained by North Yorkshire Council.
18 Grit Bins and 6 Salt Heaps on Barden Hill.
2 Grit Bins are owned and maintained by Embsay with Eastby Parish Council – one at Main Street Car Park and one in Eastby at Barden Road/Hunters Croft.
In addition NYC also own and maintain a Grit Bin at Embsay Primary School on Pasture Road.
NYC Grit Bins are refilled by 1 November and a second refill may be carried out mid-season or after significant snowfall.
