Don’t Spark Disaster
Despite last summer’s wildfire, the fire service and national parks have already had to deal with incidents this year.
The village of Embsay and the neighbouring hamlet of Eastby are situated on the southern border of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The parish is a popular destination for visitors with a station for the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway, and the nearby reservoir, Embsay Crag and Barden Moor providing outdoor activities for sailing, angling and walking.
