Official Statement from the Parish Council
The Parish Council would like to recognise and thank three councillors who have recently retired after giving dedicated service to the community.

The Parish Council would like to formally acknowledge and thank three councillors who have recently retired from their roles: Cllr Ann Briggs, Cllr David Hill and Cllr Vince Smith.
Cllr Ann Briggs joined the Parish Council in 2022. During her time on the Council, Ann was part of the Planning working group and represented the interests of the Nature Reserve and the EwE Allotment Association, supporting a range of initiatives that benefited the local environment and community planning.
Cllr David Hill joined the Parish Council in 2015 and served for ten years. Throughout his tenure, he was actively involved in the Village Maintenance, Recreation Ground, Road Safety, Speedwatch and War Memorial working groups, playing an important role in maintaining and improving key community facilities and safety initiatives.
Cllr Vince Smith joined the Council in 2015 and went on to serve as Vice Chair. He contributed to the Finance, Road Safety, Planning and War Memorial working groups, providing valuable leadership and oversight in these areas.
The Parish Council extends its heartfelt thanks to Ann, David and Vince for their dedication, commitment and hard work in serving the local community. Their knowledge, experience and valued contributions will be greatly missed, and we wish them all the very best for the future.
The Parish Council has recently c0-opted two new members; Cllr Paul Conyers and Cllr Alex Osborn, with a third vacancy still open.
